The Women’s Ministry here at First Baptist aims to help women know Christ, grow in Christ and to serve women with the love of Christ. We do this through Women to Women Mentoring programs, Ladies Bible Studies, and various activities.  Some examples of our Women’s Ministry activities include Mother’s Day Brunch, prayer support, fellowship, Women conferences and retreats, hospitality/serving opportunities and Sisters Stichin’ for Jesus!

Two Zoom online Bible Studies
Jen Wilkin’s “God of Covenant”
A 10-week study led by Lynn Overton
Begins Thursday, April 30, from 7:00 — 8:30 pm Books are $15.
During this study, beginning with Genesis 12 through 50, you will walk alongside the fathers of our faith—Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph—to discern Jesus in the stories of His people. Our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Jen Wilkin’s “Better: A Study of Hebrews”
A 10-week study led by Emily Burgess
Begins Friday, May 1, from 9:30 — 11:30 am Books are $15.
In this verse-by-verse study of the Book of Hebrews, Jen Wilkin explores how God “provided something better for us” in the person of Jesus Christ (Heb. 11:40). Through stories of Old Testament heroes and practices, the author of Hebrews demonstrates how the new covenant is superior to the old and how Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of every promise.
If you are interested in joining one or both of these studies, please CONTACT MARY PHILLIPS, so she can order you a book. Once we receive the books, we will set up a time when you can pick up your book at the church. Checks should be made payable to First Baptist Church Port Charlotte. We hope you can join us!
There are many opportunities for you to walk along side the Women’s Ministry throughout the year.
